 Best options for Home wireless!

Hi, this may be a bit vaugue, but I'm looking for general advice on setting up a wireless network at home.

I currently have a desktop PC, running by wire from my Orange Livebox ADSL Router.  This may seem strange but I live is a standard 3-bed semi, c1930, so reasonable wall thickness.

I am about to start using two laptops, (not just me..) and want to know if the Orange Lifvebox will suffice.  I have read about 802.11n being much faster but should I go to the expense, especially as this will involve updating the laptop (yet to purchased, but looking at a Dell 1525 as the best compromise at £369.00 refurb).

Any pointers or suggestions for avenues I should consider would be appreciated.

Thanks, Andrew

only the noise on the line (mains) may prove harmful to other equipment. (not all powersupplies have adequate noise filtering)
