Hi folks,

I am learning HTML. Using Notepad I created the following texts:

<HTML>
<HEAD>
<TITLE>My Home Sweet Home Page</TITLE>
</HEAD>
<BODY>
This text appears in the body of the web page.
</BODY>
</HTML>

When I view this file with my internet browser, the above original HTML texts appear; what's is my problem?

Thank you for you help.

Regards,

Curiousben

What did you save the file as? If you saved it as .txt, it will show up as you described.

Try saving it with a .html extension, like this:

myfile.html

Then try opening it in your browser.

Also, for a good HTML tutorial, check out www.w3schools.com
