Building a Content Server with XML and ASP

Add to Assistant

Short Description
Build a simple XML-based content server with browser-based adding, editing, and story retrieval.

Long Description

The Content Server demonstrates how to build a real application using XML on your server. Learn how to use ASP to manipulate XML and XSL documents and build simple caching schemes.

Combining the concepts introduced in our first two XML articles, the Content Server allows you to add, edit, and delete stories as well as change the layout of your site all from within your browser.

If you haven't done so, we highly recommend you start with our first two articles, Building Documents with XML, XSL, and CSS and Building Smart Pages with ASP, XML and XSL before continuing this article.

Hi :-)

Thank You for those fine articles. I'm looking forward to trying out til content server myself.

Unfortunately I have som problems width performing til "story.asp" in my browser. I have IIS 5.0, Microsoft XML parser 4.0, windows 2000, but no luck.

I probably haven't set the servers settings correctly. I downt know how ... I tryed settting it, so that all the .asp-files will be cached. Stil no luck

Do You have an idee of what I can do?

Thank You
Anne
