Short Description
Automatically convert your horizontal rules (HR elements) to cool rules in Internet Explorer 5.

Long Description
Based on our original cool rules technique we created an Internet Explorer 5.0 behavior that automatically enhances your horizontal rules. By using a behavior, this effect automatically degrades in existing browsers to display a standard HR element.

It's interesting to see that this behavior is possible, but calling it Cool Rule is a misnomer or facetious. Try Lame Rule. These unsightly things will only make a website look and feel more cheap, unartistic, amateuristic and 1994-like. Nothing against the authors, who are only showing us a technique; however, do we really want to bring back the "rainbow bar?" Hey, let's also reinstate the <blink> tag!

This article is great because it shows just how customizable the basic elements in HTML really are.
