A beautiful piece of work, pitched at just the right level so that it's useful to anybody. Bravo!

eh, sort of sad.  you're just reloading new pages for the navigation frame, it won't appear so "dynamic" for slower connections.

So much for accessibility and usability issues... Functions nice, might be useful on an Intranet site, but not for the Internet.

If you use this script (even on this internet site) and you press the back button immediately you remove one frame at the time pressing the back button (you don't go back to the previous site)

Is there anyone who has a trick to go back to the previous site?

Very nice. I've done something similar before using server-side techniques (each has it's own place). A couple of features my users liked that you might like to add are:

  1. Prev/Next page buttons so you can just turn the page and walk through the menu.
  2. Clicking on '+' expands the menu but doesn't change the displayed page. Bit like exporer on windows - you can look at the menu items then decide where you want to go by clicking on the title.
  3. 'show all' - which shows the entire document in one page - with page breaks between pages to allow printing.

I've been meaning to look at doing a client side verions - looks like you've saved me some work :-)
